About Us
The Caregiver Foundation of America is a 501(c)(3) organization that works to support Caregivers through a variety of services.  From producing education materials and resources to assuming daily money management (bill paying) tasks, to providing speakers for seminars and meetings and overseeing major restoration cleaning.  TCFOA works hard to provide caregivers the resources they need to survive their journey and "help those you love".

Caregiving is sometimes described as a trap!  A prison! Something that came on suddenly and for which you had little or no preparation.  The Caregiver Foundation was created specifically to help you sort out some of the critical details in preparing for caregiving, undertaking the tasks of caregiving and handling the stress and emotion of caregiving.

The Caregiver Foundation was begun by Gary A. Powell, a well-known financial professional in Hawaii, as a result of his first hand knowledge and exposure to the needs of Caregivers.

"Gary teaches from his heart"
Caregiver classes are held throughout the year at various locations in Hawaii.   These classes are facilitated discussions that help with the stress and mystery of care and help the caregiver develop practical approaches to caregiving.

"The Caregiver Foundation helped me realize that I am not alone - and I can handle this part of my life" Promoting venues for caregiver support groups and activities helps make the lonely world of caregiving a little easier to bear.

"It is amazing to find this much help in one place - from the classes to the one-on-one counseling and the fabulous library of help material... I just can't say how much this has helped..."
