Care at FOSTER HOMES
Foster homes are private residences that are certified by the State of Hawaii to provide living quarters to senior or disabled adults and limited to two foster residents. these services a primarily used by Medicaid recipients and paid for through the State Medicaid program.

If your loved one is going to be in a Foster Home, you need to be involved in the selection of the home and in understanding the level of care that can be expected.  Don't hesitate to ask questions and get a clear understanding of the background and training the individuals providing the care have.  Many Foster Homes provide loving and caring environments for their residents.  and, there have been cases of unfavorable conditions.  You as Caregiver or merely concerned party must use your common sense and follow some recommended steps to ensure a good situation for the care recipient.
